Ronald “Ron” J. Alcock, 67, of Lambertville, MI, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in his home.  Born March 16, 1950, in Lambertville, MI, he was the son of Joshua and Ester (Slick) Alcock.  A 1967 graduate of Bedford High School, he then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He married Joanne Schoenegge on August 8, 2007.  Ron was employed as a painter for the Chrysler Corporation (Jeep) for 27 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the U.A.W., Local 12, NRA and the V.F.W, 9656, Lambertville Post. Ron enjoyed boating and was an avid University of Michigan and NE Patriots Football Fan. He was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; children, Lynn (Jim) Loomis, Rhonda (Aziz) Brihoum, Wendy (Cindy) Walentowski and Chad Walentowski; brothers, Frank (Mona) Alcock and Clark Alcock; sister, Ethel Lewis; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Noah, Hannah and Amayas.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, David, and Cobb Alcock; sisters, Ina, Leone Brown and Martha Maier.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am,  Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the V.F.W., Post 9656,  4120 Piehl Rd, Lambertville, MI 48144, with a gathering to follow the service.
